Bryce Burns
Bryce graduated in 1993 with an MBA from the University of British Columbia after which he
worked for a number of non-profit organizations. Here he developed a keen sense for this
sector, specifically how organizations can be challenged by the recurring issues of funding
uncertainty and high staff turnover.
For 14 years Bryce lived and worked in Hong Kong and travelled extensively across the Asia
Pacific region. This provided him with a strong foundation of how organizations operate in a
cross-cultural, diverse setting.
His attention to detail and client-driven attitude allow him to tailor solutions for prospective
clients looking to take advantage of staffing and workplace solutions Solvere offers.
Ned Smith
Graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Accounting in the early 70’s, Ned began a career in the Financial Services Industry working for Dean Witter, Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb, Bear Stearns and coming back full circle to Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
During the 80’s and 90’s Ned left the Financial Services business for an opportunity to manage a family business that created documents for the rapidly growing mortgage industry. After selling off the document service, Ned resumed his career as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley.
Participating actively in his local community Ned has served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and spent two years as Chairman of the Board in the growing city of Tustin California. Anxious to use his lifetime of skills and talents again Ned will be taking an active role in expanding Solvere Workforce Solutions in California and providing customers assistance in developing programs.
Yves Therien
Yves has more than 25 years of experience building strong, motivated and consultative sales team to ensure clients’ expectations are met while safeguarding the organization’s profitability.
He began his career in Canada where he spent 9 years working with a leading food protein company supporting large client relationships including Tim Hortons and Cara Foods.
Yves relocated to Hong Kong in 2002 joining a leading international mobility company. In 2005 he was transferred to Beijing, PRC taking up a regional role with the company. In 2007 he returned to Hong Kong and was appointed to a senior leadership position with the firm. After eight years in Asia, Yves repatriated to Canada with his family in 2015 and joined the Solvere team in August 2019.
